Sometimes sugar isn’t so sweet and secrets can be deadly...especially with matters of the heart.
Sienna’s bestie, Harper warned her not to intern for famous bad boy artist, Casper Mason. After all, he just fired Harper who helped Sienna get the interview. But the moment Sienna sees Casper—or Caz—sweaty, practically shirtless and swinging from chains as he works on his sculpture, she’s hooked. He’s the richest, hottest artist in New York, and he lives in the fabulous Williamsburg Sugar Factory. But he’s also an incorrigible game-player, who seems to relish testing Sienna’s loyalty with a string of unsettling tests.
She knows she should get away fast. But by the time Sienna sneaks into his locked storage room and begins to unearth his dark and terrifying secret, she’s fallen way too hard for the handsome, charismatic Caz.

My review:
I didn't know what to expect from this book because I had never read anything by Kitsy Clare before. This was a really quick read for me, took about a night and a half to finish it. And, I honestly really enjoyed it.
I liked Sienna instantly, she went after what she wanted even though it was not something her best friend approved of. I also loved how she didn't take any crap from Caz. I liked how the author made you feel what they were feeling, and I loved that Sienna wasn't a weak female lead.
There were a few things that irritated me, like how quick she jumped into bed with Caz after ending things with her long term boyfriend. I felt like his character was sort of an afterthought. And I didn't like that she just spilled the beans about Caz's secret to Harper.
All in all I would totally read another book from this author and recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance books with a little twist.

One Night Promised and Denied Reviews
Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin . . . signed M.
All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He's obnoxious but well-mannered. He's a gentleman but aloof. He's passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can't deny him... or herself.
M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed -- and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he's aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she'll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession - an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair..
My review:
I really wanted to like this book because I enjoyed her other series. That being said, this one fell flat for me. The constant use of the first names or even the whole names really grated on my nerves. In real conversation, how often do you use someone's first name? Not that often right? Or what about their whole name? Never right?
The love story was ok, but I kind of hated how weak Livy was. She could clearly see he was wrong for her, but she kept going back.

The passion that burned between Livy and Miller in One Night: Promised may end up destroying them both in this new novel of overwhelming desire and shocking discoveries...
He's amazingly wealthy, sinfully gorgeous, and can bring her to heights of pleasure she's never before known. For Livy, there's no turning back. She's determined to be the light in Miller Hart's dark world. Yet this new life comes with a steep price...
Miller knows that the power he possesses hasn't come without sacrifices-but he won't let Livy be one of them. Though he wants nothing more than to have her in every way, his first duty is to protect her at all costs...from his sins, his enemies, and especially himself.
But as their insatiable affair intensifies, the two attract the attention of an obsessive-and dangerous-third party. Discovering new revelations about Miller that rock her to the core, Livy will have to decide whether he's ruined beyond repair. And he must face his fear that in order to save her, he may have to lose her after all...
My review:
I had to make myself read this which is never a good sign....
There were so many things about this book that were disturbing. First off, Miller is a psychopath. He flies off the handle in a violent way anytime he thinks someone is "interfering" with his love for Livy. That alone should have been enough to send her running from him. But, it wasn't.
Even after seeing him beat the crap out of her best friend twice, you read that right, 2 times, she still stays with him. I'm not a fan of weak female characters who always feel like they can fix the male lead. These two are clearly not good for each other.
The story line itself is intriguing enough. The love scenes are well written. I think this is just one of those series that is just not for me. I'm still on the fence on if I would read the 3rd book once it comes out.
