Xianne: A Comedy of Cultures

In the 24th Century...Jane Austen, Robert A. Heinlein, Sophia Loren, and the Texas/Arkansas 1969 Shootout...all have one thing in common: Captain Tom Duncan's interplanetary freighter, XIANNE....

Lisa's thoughts:

The author created his vision of the future in a very provocative way with the use of comedy and sexuality. The author uses a mixer of spice in developing the characters. Keeping you engaged to continue the story one page at a time but forces you to continue. Its very similar to the Love Boat with more jumping and sexual escapades. A swingers paradise in space. But that is only one layer that develops into an underlying story hidden beneath the many layers. This was the debut book for the author and it would nice to see how it develops in the future. Good book for a lazy afternoon.
