Our Thoughts:

Laura is the author of Destiny, Destiny Unveiled, Phantom, and short story Jessica. Through these books I have gotten the pleasure of going on a fantastic literary journey that I hope never to end. With Morrigan she did not disappoint this reader. In my opinion this was her BEST book to date. I loved how she carefully built up each character fully describing them so you are able to picture them in your mind. Poor Morrigan was raised going from one foster home to another she always dreamed of who her real family was. She dreamed of handsome stranger and often drew pictures with him and of lands she knew nothing about. Then one day she started hearing and seeing things telling her they were her real mother and they needed her and would be sending someone for her soon. So when they did show up she didn't really question them. She had nothing keeping her there so she went with the man it turns out to be the one from her dreams and pictures. They go to a different realm and she finds out she is in fact Princess Morrigan. The scenery that Laura creates is something all little girls dream of. She incorporates the magical elements with care and concern. There are shifters, witches, guardians, gate keepers. Each character increase the fantastic journey that Morrigan goes on to find out who she is and finally find a true family. But at what cost she may find something she wasn't bargaining for. I highly recommend this book for an amazing read. I would also recommend checking out her other books, and she has book 2 of the Phantom series releasing in spring of 2013 called Demon. Player is another book that will be released in January of 2013. You can bet I will be stalking Laura DeLuca for books in the future. 5 stars

Joshua Handover had it all. He was handsome, rich, athletic, and had always been popular with the ladies. Yet, until he gets paired up with his beautiful but shy lab partner, Rosa, he never allowed himself to fall in love. As the chemistry between them grows, Josh realizes that his player days have come to end. But it seems his change of heart has come too late. Not only is Rosa leery of his bad boy reputation, he has four vindictive ex-girlfriends who are on a rampage. At first he doesn’t take their threats seriously, but then his tires are slashed, someone tries to poison him, and one of the girls turns up dead. Josh doesn’t know who to trust, but one thing is certain. It definitely isn’t worth the price he’s paying to be a player.

Our thoughts:

Talk about twisted love and ultimate betrayal, The Player was not what I was expecting.

Josh is a player who is getting tired of the game. He finds it in himself to break it off with all of his girls when he sets his eyes on one girl only, Rosa. But when he starts to get notes in his locker and tragedy strikes more than once, will he find himself playing someone else's game? Read The Player to find out!

Laura did an outstanding job with this suspense. The storyline was well thought out and the characters were very well written. The story is full of action, drama, suspense, who-did-what and a huge "I should have seen that coming" type ending. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.  5 stars

Josh has a migraine and four girlfriends. None of which he cares for or knows much about. Now he must get rid of his headache, ditch the girls, profess his love for Rosa, and try not to die in the process....complicated life for a teenager, huh? This is an amazing book. It is a teenage mystery/life lesson/ and a little bit if twisted karma. From the very beginning you are drawn into these kids lives. The plot is so uptempo that it flies by, and at the end your mouth is catching flies. I would never give it away, but you really need to read this one. The characters are all well developed and multifaceted. The reader becomes emotionally invested as the story goes on.
This is a definite must read. I have to say that I was actually shocked at how good this book was. The editing is superb as well, so honestly it is a great book to read. 5 stars

I love the writing qualities that Laura DeLuca exhibits. I have read each and everyone of her books and through her creative journey she gives us more and more. She is really creative in the development of her characters giving them a three dimensional quality. When you look at the cover you might think this is the typical popular guy gets the girls but looks can be so deceiving. There are twists and turns around every corner. When you think you have it figured out Bam another twist is there. This book is full of drama and suspense I highly recommend it. I was unable to put down from beginning to end. I recommend reading her other books for a enjoyable reading night. I for one will be a follower for a long, long time. 5 stars
