Our thoughts:

I read Touching Eternity prior to reading Touching Smoke. So going into Smoke, I knew Amalie and Isaiah's story.

Fallon and her mother are constantly moving from place to place, city to city running from something. Fallon has these dreams about a girl she has never met before yet she can't explain why she feels that she knows her. Of course there is a mystery man that follows her dressed all in black and rides a black motorcycle. She can't explain why she feels so strongly for him. The answers she seeks comes but at a price. But is it all worth it in the end?

This series is fast becoming one of my favorites. It is definitely unique and refreshing from the standard paranormal books out there. Airicka did an outstanding job with the storyline and I can't wait for book 2 of the series! 5 stars

Fallon and her mom Erin had been on a road trip for as long as she could remember. From one dive hotel to another they crisscrossed the country looking for the next adventure. School was a afterthought, only necessary when Erin had to work to replenish the funds to travel again.
Suddenly, during one of those educational side trips, everything starts to change. Life as Fallon knows it falls apart and she is now facing the facts that her whole life until this point is lie after fabricated lie. Out of nowhere steps up Isaiah, a sexy man with a motorcycle. Suddenly Fallon finds out that he is her other half, but could also cause her world to come crashing down. Still only a teen she is faced with life or death decisions at every turn
Wow what a thrill ride of a novel. The story is intense. While a beautifully written mix of action and romance, it also throws the age old battles of good and evil in there. The characters are believable and definitely likable. Fallon is a vulnerable young lady who still has spunk and a lot of fight in her. It is nice to see a girl who can be badass, yet weak enough to admit she doesn't have all the answers. Isaiah is definitely swoon worthy! What girl doesn't want a man who is perfectly made for her? Not to mention he dresses in leather and drives a motorcycle!!! Bad boy image to the max.
The story itself is even unique. I don't think I have ever read one based on sci fi but with a paranormal twist like this. Editing and plot pacing were superb as well. I can't wait for book 2: this a great start to a new series. The bad part is, you have no idea where this series is going because everything is out of the box....so I look forward to reading book 2 as soon as possible. 5 stars

I do believe that I may have found a new favorite author. The way her writing is, the ability to draw you in and not want to let go. Going to bed late and waking up early just to see what happens and where it is going next.

Fallon is on the run with her mother, again. She doesn't know from what or who even, she just knows that she has to move again. She notices a guy on a motorcycle who seems to be following them. Mom tries to take him out with her car.

I MEAN WOW. Mom went crazy on some random motorcyclist. That was enough to hook me. Plus, there's a lot more in this book to keep you hooked all day to be mad that it's over already. 5 stars

Before Fallon was created to destroy. Before love became the ultimate weapon of destruction. There was Amalie and the horror that started a revolution that tore the fabric of humanity, of everything standing in the balance between power, hope and survival.

Amalie has one wish, one gnawing desire — she wants to die.
She wants to leave this world behind with its pain and darkness. She wants to finally breathe. But Amalie is a prisoner, a disease, not fit for life. She is unwanted, unnatural. She is defective, something useless and broken. Her own mother hadn’t wanted her. Her father hated her. The world shunned her and the only person she had ever loved, truly and with all her heart and soul, couldn’t stand the sight of her, couldn’t stand the thought of ever being with her. She repulsed him. Her insanity disgusted him. He’d forgotten her. He’d left her behind, deserted and abandoned her to a madman hell bent on crushing her, stealing her soul and shattering her will.

But what if she’s finally given hope? A reason to live? Can Amalie finally accept the hand offering so much for so little in return? Can she love again when she has nothing left to give?

Can she finally be free?

Our thoughts:
Oh my goodness I was totally blown away with this book. Miss Airicka is an absolute wonder.

This one maybe could be read before Smoke. Maybe, although you don't really need it. It gives MUCH more depth and insight into Smoke. I think I would like to have read this one first. Maybe. LOL

There was a lot of OOOOOHHHH moments. Don't forget "WHAT AN EVIL ________________. " (Fill in the blank with your own choice words!)

Eternity is about Isiah from BEFORE Smoke with his first love, THE Amalie and her father.

The things that Amalie went through, my heart went out to her and wished that I could be written into the story to try to save her myself, if Isiah couldn't do it. To be heavily guarded and made to believe that there was something wrong with her. To believe that she is broken and needing to be fixed.

I just couldn't get enough. I need more Miss Airicka. Really. 5 stars

Oh man! How do I start this review?! First off...holy smokes! Where does Airicka come up with this stuff?!?! So dark and twisted...I wanted to jump into the book and strangle Amalie's father myself. To be locked away by someone who is supposed to protect you and chase away the boogie man only to find out that HE IS the boogie man...

Amalie suffers abuse and torture at the hands of her father, a supposed doctor trying to cure her of her illness by "testing" on her. She suffers at the hands of her tutor for a year and even after telling her father about it, only to have him NOT believe her...that's tragic. And talk about tragic....the ending! I'm not spoiling that for you!

Airicka is so good at what she does. She tells the story from all perspectives to give the feel for everything and everyone in the scene. I truly hope that there is more from this series and that this isn't the end. 5 stars
