Crimson Flames Review

Half-vampire Abby Tate is determined to learn more about the sorceress powers that were awakened inside her when she was turned into a vampire—making her a whole new hybrid species. There’s a group of rogue vamps banding together and forming a Resistance against the vampire governing body, The Head Council, and Abby’s newly discovered powers are the key to the Council’s victory. Now the Resistance will do anything possible to remove the hybrid threat, and with no other options, Abby is forced to rely on the aid of the Council, yet can she trust the very vampires that hunt for her human lover? And even worse, can she fight the unwelcome attraction that’s growing between her and one of those ancient vampire rulers?

Our thoughts:

Packed full of explosive action, love and loss, Crimson Flames was a good read. Ashley did an outstanding job on creating amazing scenes and likable and dis-likeable characters. Although some parts of the story seemed a little slow paced for me, I really enjoyed reading and following Abby on this awesome thrill ride! I look forward to reading more from this talented writer.

Abby has had a wild ride ever since being turned against her will into a vampire. Now with Bronx dead and the High Council tracking her every move, she must race to fulfill her own destiny and keep.herself alive.

Change happens whether you want it to or not, whether you’re ready for it or not...
This novel is absolutely amazing. Long gone is scared Anna, who is unsure and scared of her own shadow. Now Abby is back and she is ready to kick some serious butt. This book is full of depth and a deep emotional plot blended with high energy action. It is like taking a journey with Abby on the way to finding herself. I was absolutely all in right from the beginning.
All of the characters are amazing. Some I love, others I love to hate. They are all well developed, with depth and their own story. Each are explained in great detail but not so much as to glob up the story or inhibit the progress. Abby truly has a fire within her now and that was amazing to read.
I loved book one, bit this one is over any expectation I had. It is a thrill ride. Editing is superb and the flow is absolutely natural. I hate that this is the end. I want more.
This is such an amazing story I would love to see story continue. Go out and grab this one, it is more than worth it. It truly makes you fall in love with vampires that don't sparkle in the sun all over again. I won't say this is a recommended read, it is a read it would be a crime to miss. I will say due to a few sexual situations and dialogue I will say the age is 16+ for this one.....Happy reading! 5 stars
