Breathe Review

Jasmine’s life wasn’t normal for a 16 year old girl.  It hadn’t been normal since the murder of her older sister, Daisy, two years ago. Her life had been changed forever. The monster that murdered Daisy was never caught.  That was the reason her family decided to move away from their hometown in Southern California, to start over.  Hopefully in a place where the last name Rourke wouldn’t bring on staring or judgment or morbid curiosity.

In Lafayette, Louisiana things are quite a bit different but in a good way.  Good manners, Cajun accents and a whole lot of Southern Hospitality all make her think things are going in the right direction.  On top of that the most gorgeous boy she has ever met is interested in her. Her new friends are better than she could have hoped for even if she is worried about what they might think when they find out who she is.  Life would be perfect if odd things didn’t keep happening.  Creepy phone calls, texts, and flowers in her locker start adding up quickly to something terrifying. Could the Monster have followed them to Lafayette? Was he coming after her this time?  Maybe she was just worrying unnecessarily…or not.

Where to buy: Amazon, B&N

Our thoughts:

Moving to a new city to escape painful memories normally helps. But what happens when the past comes back to haunt you? For Jasmine Rourke, she knows the feeling. Her older sister Daisy was murdered by a stalker who was never caught. Now, in a new city where no one knows who she is, Jas starts to get stalked as well. Little does she know that Daisy was never the intended victim...she was.
Breathe is an all out "try not to blink cuz you'll miss something" suspense! I literally could not stop reading. Right from the start, you are brought in to Jasmine's world. Follow along as you learn her history and battle to save herself and those she loves. Breathe is wonderfully written and will keep you entertained.  4.5 stars

WOW! This story was a really great read. It was such an emotional roller coaster for me. I cried at the end like a baby.
I applaud Miss Elena Dillon on her writing, She has a fan for life right here.
A story about a young girl who loses a very important person to her in the form of murder.  Her and her family have to move from California to Lafayette, Louisiana.
The past still haunts her and lands her into the arms of a very handsome young man.  Whom she is starting to finally let her walls down.  Until the past catches up with her.
Now, she must fight her own battles and hopefully be able to take the Monster down that's been haunting her. Excellent read and I fully recommend this story to any and everyone. 4.5 stars

~Jaime

Jas has lived through trauma no teenager should ever face. Her sister Daisy was brutally murdered not far from their home In California over two years ago. Her murderer still walks the streets in anonymity a free man, and the police have no leads. Jas's mom and siblings Lily and Caeden have tried to start over but the memories just haunt them. With heavy hearts and high hopes they relocate to Lafayette, LA.
As soon as they get settled it seems that the move has been just the jump start to help Has and her family start living a life. Each one seems to be coming out of a two year daze and rediscovering who they are as people. Jas begins to relax and finally start bein a normal teen. Quickly she meets Easton, and their romance begins. It isn't long, however, until Jas realizes she may never be free from the memories of the past. Someone or something just won't give her a chance to breathe......What an awesome novel!!!! To be a debut it is absolutely phenomenal. You can't help but love Jas and her family. Just a typical all around family who Jas been through a lot of trauma. The characters are believable, extremely well developed, and provoke emotion . The plot if extremely fast paced, and I have to say this is one of those novels that you just simply. cannot put down. The editing is superb...even the teen lingo. I could have sat and read about Jas for several more hours and days. Overall one of the better books I have had the opportunity to review. I would HIGHLY recommend this one to anyone, not only is it a good YA novel but it has appeal to a larger audience than just this audience. It is an excellent thriller and romance that can be enjoyed by the mature audiences as well. I will revisit this one again.  5 stars

Where to buy: Amazon, B&N

My thoughts:
Author Melissa Lummis' debut novel Enlightened is nothing short of amazing. I found myself drawn into Loti's world right off the bat. Her journey was enthralling.I'm a sucker for a good witch/vampire story, this for sure did not disappoint. But be warned, if you're looking for a formulaic story that's been told time and time again, this book is not for you. Be prepared to fall in love with Melissa Lummis and the world she has created. I very much look forward to the sequel to this book, because I have to know what is going to happen next!

Stay tuned this week for an interview!!

Incredible Dreams review

INCREDIBLE DREAMS is the story of a modern-day ghost whisperer who travels through time to save the life of a WWII fighter pilot and ends up jeopardizing her own existence.
Izzy Miller prefers to call herself a spiritual therapist because she thinks it makes her sound more professional than plain old ghost-whisperer. She expects her latest project to be quick and easy because exorcising military personnel is pretty routine. But there’s nothing easy or routineabout Captain Jack Baker–he’s a rather forgetful spirit and somewhat mischievous. And even though he’s intrigued by the US Government’s latest attempt to remove him from the only place he can ever remember being…he has no intentions of going anywhere.
Plans to exorcise Jack are quickly sidelined when Izzy discovers a portal into the past inside her dreams and sets out to change his fate. Trouble is…when she gets back there, she can’t remember anything but her name. She still sees ghosts, but is far less accepting of her gift. And, to make matters worse, a demonic force pretending to be the forgetful heroine’s sister has her own plans–to steal Izzy’s soul.

Our thoughts:
I really enjoyed this story. It's about a girl names Izzy who is taken back in time while working on a case on solving how a flyer from back in 1946 died and how to save him.
In the process she talks to her dead mother who basically tells her that this is what she must do in order to save the man.
I couldn't wait to come back to this story when I got home from work.   It had a sort of Nora Roberts feel if you know what I mean. 4.5 stars
~Jaime

I found Incredible Dreams original and not on the sappy romantical side. Not knowing what genre of book this was going to be, I read it cover to cover and thoroughly enjoyed it.Isabelle is hired by the U.S. Government to exorcise a spirit that inhabits an abandoned airplane hanger. She immediately feels a connection to Jack Baker, the pilot that never left. She can't help but feel utter sadness that he has passed on. Jack feels a connection as well and is captivated by her beauty and her spitfire attitude. Izzy gets the chance of a lifetime from her mother, who visits her in her dreams, to save Jack. She travels back to 1946 and befriends him but has a little problem...she can't remember anything but her name.Follow along with Izzy and Jack as they try to figure out why they feel so connected and who is plotting against them from figuring it out.I really enjoyed reading Incredible Dreams. With a little touch of the paranormal included in this romance, I thought it was sweet and sassy. I loved how the sprites were added for a little touch of humor and the twist at the end was well worth the read.Great job Sandra! 5 stars

Wanted:Vampire (Free Blood) Review

Three years ago, death blew out the candle in Alexis Hall’s life and left her devastated. Nothing could replace what she’d lost, not even the sexy stranger she awoke married to. Still, she finds it hard to ignore the dangerous sparks he triggers within her. She knows Bradley Cox took advantage of her. What she doesn’t know is he holds a secret that will change everything.

But Bradley isn’t her only concern. In a moment of desperation to somehow reclaim what she had lost, Alexis made an offer to a vampire––free blood. Her blood.

In a story of heartbreak and obsession, a simple ad changed Alexis' life forever and on one fateful night her dreams and her nightmares will collide. Can she trust Bradley? Or is he her worst mistake? Can she retract her offer to the vampire? Or will she fall under his deceptive spell?

Where to buy: Amazon/B&N

Our Thoughts:

Alexis Hall has lived the same nightmare for the last 3 year's. Over and over the images play in her mind. She feels the horrendous pain, and then her daughter is born..dead. Living this nightmare over ans over has kept her trapped in her own little world.Once Broadly ran into Alexis he knew his heart was gone for good. He could sense the damage done to her, but realized she was worth the struggle. Now he had to convince Alexis that she was worth it. Bradley also is carrying around a secret, one that could push Alexis totally over the edge.I loved this story. It's not at all predictable. In fact, it has you guessing right up until the end. I would love to see Tara get het own spinoff book as well. She is a tough as nails female, and I loved her style. The characters are likeable and well developed. Either I loved them or hated them....I for one couldn't stand Malik!!!! He was way too cocky for my liking. The plot was very well paced and keeps the reader on your toes. Overall editing was very good. This is a recommended read for lovers of paranormal fiction. It is different and does hold the readers attention. I would hope that there is another one of these coming in the near future. 4 stars
~Michelle

I purchased this book because I loved reading her previous books. Her novella Curse of the Egyptian Goddess, A Destined Death, and she had a short story in the anthology Cupid Painted Blind. Through all these books I feel that she has grown immensely as a writer. Her covers are amazing on all her books they capture the Essenes of the characters that she is building in the book. Her story's flow freely and effortlessly. She takes great care in developing her characters. In Wanted: Free Blood Alexis is a woman who has given up. She looks for ways out of the misery that she calls her life. In walks two completely different men into her life. Each one want to offer her something but she is torn because she has needs from one but that comes at a very high price and she doesn't feel she is worthy of the other man. Alexis has her life thrown into a serious spiral when she finds something out that threatens to drive her into a tailspin. I highly recommend this book if you want a book that keeps you on your toes and unable to put it down. You will find out if what you wish for most in life can be obtained even if you have given up all hope. Thank you so much Lisa for taking us on a amazing literary journey that feeds our heart and soul along with our imagination for the paranormal. Run out and get this book after reading it get her other books to tease and tantalize your imagination. I have it on great authority that we are going to be seeing a lot more from Lisa she is on a very creative flow. 5 stars

Why Indies Rock

Today is our stop on this awesome tour that was set up by Tamara Beard. I'm the last stop on the tour too :) Some of the people on the tour talked about why they love indie authors, but since I am an indie author, I'm going to talk about that.

I published my first book Mark of the Witch in June 2012, and let me tell you, it was not an easy feat. Being an indie is hard. No one knows who you are, and you have to do everything by yourself. Ok, my griping is done :)
Here are the amazing parts of being an indie.

  1. Amazing fans. I know, traditional authors have good fans too, but being a fan of an indie author is a little bit different. As an indie author I'm a lot more connected with my fan base. If you shoot me a message on Facebook, I'm going to respond to you.
  2. My story, my way. I get to tell exactly the story I want to tell without a publisher dictating what needs to be in it.
  3. The cover is all up to me.....I know that sounds like it could be a bad thing, but its really not. I've gotten to work with some amazing cover artists since I started. The covers for my books are exactly what I want them to be.
  4. My books come out a lot sooner than a traditionally published author. I don't have to sit on a fully ready book for months and months before I finally get to release it.
So really, being an indie is not bad at all. In fact, it's pretty good:)

As a sneak peek into something new from me, here's the cover for Blood and Sacrifice, book 2 of the Blood Ties series

Hope you all love it as much as I do!! Check out my author blog as well

Blood Vengeance and Blood Destiny reviews

There is an evil rising that wishes to seek havoc….Renee Draven believed her battle was over but her nightmare is just beginning. There is a darkness lurking seeking vengeance; with vengeance comes loss and family secrets will be revealed. Renee will question her lineage and her power; while other Evils play on her doubts she must determine truth from lies. Or will the lies be enough to rip the light from our heroine’s soul? With the past revealed the future holds a shock conclusion. New heroes will be found and new allies will be made…lives will be lost and hearts will be broken…are you ready for the ride to hell and back?

Our thoughts:

Blood Vengeance is a kick ass sequel to Blood Magic. I actually enjoyed this one much more than the first book of the series. Blood Vengeance picks right back up where Blood Magic left off. Right from the start, you are swept into Renee's crazy world of paranormal goodness. Renee meets 2 new characters in this install. First up is Sara. She's a demon slayer that Renee meets in London after checking out Damaskeos'  place for answers.  She then meets a marine by the name of Jax. She saved him from some rouge vampires and notices something is off with his scent. She takes him back to her place to figure out what to do with  him. In the meantime, Damaskeos is becoming best pals with Jed, the Demon Prince and son of Demya the Demon Queen. Damaskeos will stop at nothing to get what he wants....Renee Draven. Plus Renee uncovers dark secrets in her bloodline that will shock you!Blood Vengeance is so full of twists, I couldn't stop reading it. Zoey pulled all the stops out other this one and I'm glad she did. It's so full of action, witty dialog and a few heart-wrenching scenes that I really could feel for the characters. I really can not wait for Blood Wrath, book 3 of the series. Great job Zoey!! 5 stars
~Crystal

I was right! This second book is better than the first! Much more focused in the plot and details! This book has so many tiers of plots and twists and turns that it is entrancing. Could not put it down! The additional depth given to Renee and the broadening of her knowledge is really well done. I wish I could say more, but I will sum it up in one word…WOW! 5 stars
~Carrie

Before Renee Draven, there was another, the one who began it all. Before demons and mortals separated into their own dimensions, there was a girl sought out to begin the Draven Dynasty. She alone would stand with her Druid King and fight the forces of darkness to ensure the prophecy was fulfilled.
Elena Draven, torn from her home, taken to a foreign land of Magick and creatures that she had only seen in her dreams walking around right before her eyes. With the gift of a magical ferrum, her power comes alive and her destiny lies before her.
Kilian, her savior, the Druid King who wishes to make Elena his bride and continue the Draven lineage which will destroy the Winged One, and ensure the Chosen One’s path. Will she learn to trust him and accept his love? Or will their time run out before fate takes their lives?
Every story starts somewhere….take the journey into a part of the Draven witches that has never been told and how their Blood Destiny began

Our thoughts:

Blood Destiny is a great start to both The Draven Dynasty and The Draven Witch Series.
I started with Blood Destiny to get a feel for how the Draven witches came to be so powerful and what makes them wanted so badly.
Elena is a commoner who has been picked to be Queen to Druid King Kilian. He informs Elena that their daughter, the true first Draven with the purest of Druid Magick will be the start of the powerful bloodline and with each generation, the bloodline will grow stronger and Blyth, the Winged One will die at their distant grand daughter's hands. At the same time, another entity wants to kill her for her power. But that's a totally different story =)In the Blood Destiny, you follow along, with Elena, Kilian, and their daughter Anissa. She has secrets of her own and her story is a dark, twist of fate. There has been a man that she could not pull away from but little does she know, he is not the man she thought he was.
I liked how Zoey created this back story and turned it into a novelette series. It gives the reader a chance to get deeply involved in both series and I like how they tie into one another. From what I can tell just by reading this novelette, I am going to thoroughly enjoy both of these series and I can't wait to see what's in book 2 of the Draven Dynasty. 5 stars
~Crystal

With this Novella, the author expands further on her heroine Renee’s background and how this all happened. This really used the author’s imagination and explored a lot of her talent. I was happy to understand a little more of what the Draven line went through. It helped to fill out what I had already read, and it is a cute short story and a great break while waiting for that third book! 4 1/2 stars.

Blood Magic review

A witch/vampire hybrid, Renee Draven was sent to fulfill her destiny. Hell-bent on destroying the Evil One that has tormented and defiled her lineage for centuries, she must take back the power that was stolen long ago. Racing against time to destroy the darkness that threatens her life and those she loves. She must confront her demons. Losing faith in herself, and her power, she stumbles across William Angelo, the one she was said to bring home and save. While on her dark journey she must find Dante Angelo, his blood is the key to awakening her vampire side and defeating Damaskeos. Struggling to stay alive, she is torn between wanting a normal life and her duties, Renee must learn to believe in herself and the magic that flows through her blood, if she is to save the lives of those she loves. Will she find the strength to defeat Damaskeos and end his reign once and for all? Or will she fall as all the other Draven Witches before her? Blood Magic will take you on a mystical ride into alternate dimensions, the magical world of the Draven witches, and the supernatural creatures that would give their life to protect them.

Amazon/B&N

Our thoughts:

How would you feel knowing that you are half vampire half witch who has been living in another realm training your whole life for something big but yet never enjoyed the simply things in life like Italian food or boys? Knowing youre destined to slay a creature simply known as the Winged One but also hunted for you power by another? Renee Draven knows that feeling and now so I do thanks to Blood Magic.

Follow along with Renee as she transitions her life from Aureus, a realm where mystical creatures live in harmony and time moves faster, to the Mortal realm. Her parents feel that Renee is ready to live in New York and awaken her vampire side to strengthen her powers. Along the way, Renee saves a human girl named Jenny from a group of rogue vampires, frees and falls in love with a werewolf named William. I'd say more but then that would ruin all the fun of you finding out for yourself.

I gave Blood Magic 4 stars because it was a little slow for me at times but picked up speed towards the end. Zoey did an excellent job of creating witty smart ass characters like Renee and Tristan and loving characters like William and Dante. Even Damaskeos is like-able. I can't wait to read Blood Vengeance!
~Crystal

This book is a great beginning to a series. The writing is vague enough to allow
you to picture things yourself as if they were encouraging you to create your own
picture in a variety of settings. Once you get into the story you don’t want to put
it down.

The main plot is strong and the sub plots are “50 Shades” of loveliness! It was cool
how the author pointed out the fact that she was kept secluded and innocent,
and I felt it made these men more attracted to her. Men love innocence of heart
and soul and Rene was that.

I look forward to the next in the series and seeing how this author grows. 4 stars

A Political Affair review

A Political Affair isn't Fifty Shades of Red, White, and Blue, but it is a love story with spice and political intrigue. Stephen McEvoy never expected to fill his father’s U.S. Senate seat at such a young age—or to fight to keep it. When clever Anne Norwood interns in his office, Stephen dismisses her as another pretty face—until her independent streak catches his attention. They’re both too smart to fall for one another, yet they do. During a tough election, their relationship is an impossible political gamble. Campaigns—like love—are either won or lost.

Amazon

Our thoughts:

In the world of Politics where potential scandalous situations are around every corner we find the self-defined Democratic playboy bachelor, Senator Stephen McEvoy. Well known within the ranks for his taste in beautiful women and lack of desire for a serious commitment. Coming up for re-election, everything is right on track for Stephen’s political career that is until College Senior Anne Norwood shows up in his office for her internship. Anne comes from a well-known Republican family with ties within the Republican community which include Dan Langford, the Republican candidate running for Stephen’s Senate seat. The draw towards one another is there from the beginning as are the obvious reasons why they should never act on their mutual attraction. But someti
mes, no matter your platonic intentions, you just can’t fight it. The more they are unwillingly thrown together, the more obvious the attraction for one another becomes. As the campaign race runs full force towards Election Day Stephen and Anne are faced with a choice that could make or break his political career and potentially destroy both of their futures. I just want to clarify that this book is not something I would usually pick up and read. I tend to steer clear of reading anything remotely involving politics whether it is Non Fiction or Fiction. That being said, A Political Affair, even though it’s not within my taste for books, is actually a good read and I think Mary Whitney did a remarkable job. The plot line is believable though does seem to drag on in some areas and feels rushed in others.

~Ashley

Anne Norwood embarked on her political career as an intern in the office of one of Washington's most powerful senators. While often taking criticism for straying from the views of her family, Anne learned early on to find her own way and stick to her path. What she never expected to find in Washington was love.Stephen McEvoy enjoys his life as a rogue senator. He loves the company of beautiful without the strings of emotional commitment. To him, women are simply a side dish to his political career. However when Anne walked into his office everything changed. As their move blooms so does the ensuing political scandal. Their love must be able to overcome their lasts and survive A Political Affair. While this book isn't my normal cup of tea it was enjoyable. Both Anne and Stephen's characters were well developed. I like how Anne has spunk and wasn't simply awestruck by the handsome senator. Also, their romance wasn't instant love. It did take time to develop and was nice to see. Stephen was almost comical at times. To be such a ladies man he is truly clueless about women. To have a man in his thirties have to ask his mother for advice shows how his new relationship is totally foreign to him. He honestly had no clue how to relate to a real woman. I will say the plot did seems choppy at times. There seem to be food action and flow, but then it would stall for a chapter or so. Overall it is a decent read. I am far removed from politics so I probably wouldn't read it again, but it would be great for those who do follow the political world. I would classify this one as contemporary romance and recommend it for 16+ . Happy reading!!! 4 stars
~Michelle

I was given a copy of A Political Affair by Mary Whitney in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. What would you do when you start to have feelings for someone but that attraction could cause a major scandal and harm many people in the fallout. Stephen took over his fathers US Senate seat but he was now coming up for election. In walks a woman who could give him the desire for more Anne Norwood who becomes his intern. Couple things wrong with this situation. Stephen is a Democrat and she is from a Republican family. Two she is still in college it would look like he took advantage of her. Through spending time together they find that they have many hobbies and past times that they share. The attraction continues to grow even though his family is really against it. What would you do for love would you risk everything for your one true soulmate? Thank you so much Mary Whitney for writing such a great story. 5 stars

Only a fool would think they could steal from a werewolf …

Anticipating a quiet night alone with the man she loves, Darcy’s world is sent into a spin with the arrival of someone from the past—Mason’s. She is further shocked by the intruder’s claim she may not even be the true mate of the Mystic Wolves Alpha. Accusations start to fly, leading to her new enemy being granted asylum, and this is just the beginning of trouble.

Relying on the reassurances of Mason and the support of her friends and Pack, Darcy soon falls under attack. Suspicions are raised, and with no other choice, she must flee with Devlin to safety where hopefully they can untangle the lies hidden behind the use of magic. Interview with AJ Lape plus book spotlight

Fifteen years ago, Darcy Walker’s parents thought it was a good idea to give her a unique name: Darcy, meaning “dark walker.” Whether that was a stroke of genius or stroke of stupid, they definitely nailed the irony. She lacks direction, her grades stink despite a high IQ, she’s boringly average—although flirting admirers claim otherwise—and God help her, she’s infatuated with a bad-boy.

A bad-boy that her hottie best friend, Dylan, wishes would get acquainted with his fist.

And, oh yeah, there’s that tattoo that was a royally stupid idea.

With her life spiraling out of control, everything changes when she skips class and finds a dead body…in fact, it gets worse. It jump-starts Darcy’s inner-verb, and her brain hardwired for action gets caught up in a situation she can’t let go.
Set in the fictional Cincinnati town of Valley, Ohio, Darcy falls into a world of threats, violence, and gangland exploits, chasing down every clue to finger the murderer. When a fellow misfit is arrested for the crime, Darcy goes from zero-to-sixty trying to clear his name—constructing aliases, breaking the law, everything that makes perfect sense to her, but reeks of Grade A Stupid to everyone else.
Trouble is…will she live to see 16?

We're lucky enough to have Michelle cajole AJ into an interview!!! Hope you all enjoy

What is the title of your book?
Grade A Stupid. Book two, No Brainer, is the second installment in the Darcy Walker Series and will be released in the spring of 2013. At least that’s the plan unless a solar flare incinerates me between now and then.

What genre does your book fall under?
The Darcy Walker Series is Young Adult Fiction…mystery, suspense, intrigue, and a whole lot of will-he-kiss-me-or-not. Darcy does age in the series, though, and eventually gets a job. Thankfully, she hasn’t been pigeonholed as “just for teens” because I’ve had some awesome feedback from adult readers. And God knows, Darcy experiences a lot of things that make adults lock their doors.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
More of the same…ON STEROIDS. If you thought Darcy stirs up trouble in “Grade A Stupid,” “No Brainer” is going to have you popping antacids and throwing your books, kindles, and NOOKS up against the wall. Don’t send me the bill…please.

Will your book be self-published or traditional?
It will be self-published like “Grade A Stupid.” Fingers crossed it will be just as good or better, and “Grade A Stupid” broke into the Top 100 in Teen Literature and Fiction within 24 hours in the kindle store. Believe me, I take nothing for granted. I literally fall facedown and thank God on occasion.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I hope I give readers the fun of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum Series while giving them a little bit of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games and James Patterson as a side dish. I want readers to feel every emotion possible when reading my books. So, if someone laughs, cries, hides, or wants to become a card-carrying member of the NRA then I’ve done my job.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Darcy Walker came to me Friday, the 13th, 2008. That was a particularly crappy day—like in the crappiest of crap league—and I picked up my laptop and just started typing. Darcy “walked” right onto the page. She came to me flawed, she came to me troubled, she came to me hilarious, but mostly, she came to me “real.” To me, the best stories are the ones where the characters have flaws…like major flaws. Think Jekyll and Hyde, Hamlet, Macbeth, Achilles and his “heel.” King David, Anakin Skywalker, Rocky Balboa, the list goes on… Personally, I’m flawed. If I read of a character that isn’t…I can’t relate. Darcy and I have had a relationship for almost five years. She’s “very, very loud” in my brain, and I don’t censor her. In fact, if I try to censor her she wakes me up at night, and I reluctantly give in. In fact, she woke me up in “Grade A Stupid” and convinced me to change the ending of the story…only days before the official release. We did fight about that one…as usual, she won. It killed my formatter and me, though.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
I have a passion for people that are put together a little bit differently than everyone else—whose square-peg mind doesn’t fit through society’s round hole. Darcy is the benchmark. She’s been blessed with this super high IQ but carries some baggage that makes life a little harder for her than most. What she has going for her though is an exorbitant amount of moxie, enthusiasm, and a competitive spirit that never quits. My hope is that readers embrace their dreams, own their flaws, and take a big bite out of life’s apple pie regardless of what people may say or how they may try to remold you. I think we’re put together the way God wants us to be, and by goodness, you need to flaunt that dysfunction!
