Dima Zales is a full-time science fiction and fantasy author residing in Palm Coast, Florida. Prior to becoming a writer, he worked in the software development industry in New York as both a programmer and an executive. From high-frequency trading software for big banks to mobile apps for popular magazines, Dima has done it all. In 2013, he left the software industry in order to concentrate on his writing career. Dima holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from NYU and a dual undergraduate degree in Computer Science / Psychology from Brooklyn College. Meet the Author:
Though she was born in Germany and raised in Turkey until the age of five, Emilyann Girdner spent the majority of her grade school years in Tallahassee, Florida. She discovered early she had a love for stories. Reading books, watching movies and then acting them out with friends or toys gave living an extra flavor. This is likely why she spent the first part of her college career studying Creative Writing, before switching to Graphic Design and then graduating with a BFA in Digital Art from Missouri State University in 2011. Her writing has appeared on websites and blogs including Center for Work Life, Easter Seals Florida, MU Museum of Art & Archaeology's Musings and Examiner.com. Tattooed Dots....I really wasn't sure what to expect just by title alone. Since I didn't read the blurb, I dove head first into the book and made it half-way in one night. I wanted to finish it all but unfortunately that would have left me zombified the whole day.
I love how the story begins. Her best friend suckers her into a cruise and it's the best thing that could ever happen to Brooke. From the cruise, the story becomes amazing with deep one on one conversations and absolutely no touching. Bittersweet goodbyes and a broken Xbox later, the story takes a different direction that does make a Kleenex box come in handy.
Tattooed Dots is the first novel I have read by Kimberly and I can guarantee that it will not be the last. She is extremely talented at setting the stage and building up a story. I am so glad that this is not a stand alone. So many characters have unfinished business by the end of Tattooed Dots.
So on that note, Tattooed Dots is really a great read and I recommend reading this if you want a chuckle, steamy scenes and watery eyes.
